Seasoned Pinot Noir enthusiasts know, that although these wines are excellent when young, it is worth waiting a few years to experience their true potential and see them “enter into a new dimension” as our head winemaker Sándor Mérész says. In this spirit, the time has come to reshare our 2015 vintage.

Personal favorite

"The nose reminds me of fruits growing wildly on the banks of a stream, the palate carries spicy notes and also pleasantly reminds of „eating earth” as a kid. It doesn’t let go, driving you to take yet another sip, while new notes appear, such as raw cocoa bean. I’d love to enjoy it on its own, strolling along a stream, but the mesmerizing experience would truly be perfect, if I could take along a softer Brie or Camembert."

How it’s created

10 months of maturation in 300 and 228 litre Hungarian and French oak barrels (30% new)

dried raspberry, stewed sour cherry, kirsch, blackberry, mint, liquorice, nutmeg and black pepper. On the palate

On the palate

stewed sour cherry and red plum, accompanied by tertiary earthy and meaty notes, baking spices, barrel spices
